Day 1 - MUMBAI
The romance and colour of India greets you as you disembark from your jet in Bombay a metropolis of energy and vitality. Welcome to India. Our representative escorts you to the Taj Mahal hotel where the old world charm and panache and present day sophistication come together so gracefully, as on the waterfront of India’s premier metropolis. Few other hotels in the world have become so much part of city’s heritage and mystique as the Taj has of Bombay’s. On the arrival at the hotel ladies in authentic local costumes greet with garlands and anoint your forehead with the traditional red “tikka”. Afterwards relax with a welcome drink. Day 2 - MUMBAI
Breakfast at the colorful SHAMIANA, the 24 hour coffee shop with gay, informal surroundings and a menu that titillates appetites. This morning a boat ride across Bombay’s harbor will take you to the famous Elephanta Caves carved between 6th & 8th centuries. These outstanding stone images are some of the finest representations of Hindu God Shiva. (Elephanta Caves are closed on Mondays). Return to hotel. A sumptuous lunch awaits you at TANJORE offering Indian cuisine of diverse cultures, tastes and regions of the land accompanied by live sitar music and classical Indian dance. Afternoon the city tour will take you to all of Bombay’s best known landmarks; impressive Gateway of India built in 1911, the handsome Prince of Wales Museum famous for it’s collection of miniature paintings, Marine Drive, Bombay’s sweeping shoreline, unique Hanging Gardens and Mani Bhavan, a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi.

Evening enjoy a Victoria Ride on the Marine Drive. Dinner at KHYBER which establishes a sense of occasion - a reminder of the ephemeral stuff dreams are made of. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3 - MUMBAI / UDAIPUR
A short flight takes you to Udaipur - a beautiful city of lakes, palaces and fountains still evoking the rich sensibilities of a royal lineage long gone by, leaving only this dreamy city to continue forever. Check in at the Lake Palace where you give yourself over to a dream. Day 4 - UDAIPUR
Breakfast at the hotel. Your day starts with a visit to City Palace- now a museum, completely white & majestic; the royal palace stands on a hill, surrounded by crenellated walls. It is a labyrinth of courtyards richly decorated with inland mirror work, galleries covered with frescoes, temples and kiosks. In the old town the Jagdish temple built in mid 17th century has a remarkable bronze statue. Visit the exquisitely fashioned Sahelion-ki Bari or garden of maids of honour with fountains, a lotus pond chhatris & Kiosks of black marble. Your afternoon is at leisure. Relax by the pool or go shopping.

Day 5 - UDAIPUR / JODHPUR
Board morning flight to Jodhpur - a city founded in the 15th century by a chieftain of Rajputs, native of Rajasthan, this city stands at the edge of the Thar Desert. Your host in Jodhpur is one of the India’s largest and most lavish royal residences. Umaid Bhavan Palace which belongs to Maharaja of Jodhpur, who still resides here. Stay in a royal suite. Day 6 - JODHPUR / JAIPUR
Morning visit the imposing Mehrangarh Fort and explore its many palaces, where royal apartments had such evocative names as the ‘Pearl Palace’ and the ‘Pleasure Palace”. Royal trappings adorn rooms painted and carved in intricate patterns. Time at leisure. Day 7 - JAIPUR
Your day starts with an excursion to Amber Fort. You ride up the ramp of this 11th century bastion atop a gaily decorated elephant. Later visit the City Palace, a picturesque complex of palaces and courtyards famous for its collection of Rajput miniatures, carpets and manuscripts. You also visit the exquisite Palace of Winds with its honeycombed facade and 18th century Observatory. Your afternoon is at leisure. Day 8 - JAIPUR / AGRA
Depart for Agra this morning stopping enroute at Fatehpur Sikri: a glittering imperial capital conceived and built by the emperor Akbar. It is filled with red sandstone buildings, mosques and courtyards. The Pearl Mosque here is designed after the mosque of Mecca and is a fine blend of Persian and Hindu architecture. Continue your journey to Agra Synonymous with the timeless beauty of the Tag Mahal - radiant at noon and amber by dusk. Day 9 - AGRA
Breakfast at SAMOVAR. This morning, you will visit the world’s greatest love tribute: The TAJ MAHAL, built by Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal. (Taj Mahal is closed on Mondays). Mark Twain said of this monument “You cannot keep your emotions within bounds, when that soaring bubble of marble breaks upon your view.” Taj Mahal is like a silent rhapsody that you will carry in your heart. You will also visit Agra Fort, an impressive cluster of palaces, fortresses and mosques on the banks of river Yamuna across the Taj Mahal. Your afternoon is at leisure. Evening enjoy a drink at Maikhana, the lobby bar, offering an array of sparkling wines and wondrous concoctions that Mughal Emperors enjoyed. Later see The Taj in one of its best moods. Day 10 - AGRA / KHAJURAHO
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport to board your flight for Khajuraho whose remarkable 11th century temples constantly amaze visitors. Check in at Hotel Chandela. When the Taj Mahal Hotel made a resplendent debut in Bombay in 1903, even the venerable times. London was moved to superlatives “the finest Cararan Sarai in the East.” The Taj Experience had come into being. Enjoy this experience at Taj Chandela offering swift comforts, original ambiance, charm and traditional courtesies. Day 11 - KHAJURAHO / DELHI
Breakfast at Rhimjhim serving Buffets. Thereafter fly to Delhi - India’s splendid capital. Founded on the sight of several cities, it has been the seat of power for centuries. Today Old and New City combine to present a harmonious whole offering the traveler elegant shops, broad laburnum lined avenues, sun warmed elegant forts and mosques that were once stronghold of Mughal powers and colorful bazaars. Check in at hotel The Oberoi, overlooking Delhi Golf Course. Rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 12 - DELHI
This morning you will start a combined city tour of Old and New Delhi. An aura of history is everywhere in Old Delhi. Red Fort with its majestic ramparts and Jama Masjid one of Asia’s largest mosques form the hub. Emperor Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar complex, dating back to the 12th Century. You will also make a stop at Rajghat - Mahatma Gandhi’s final resting place. New Delhi is well planned with wide tree lined avenues, fountains and parks. Colonial architecture dominates this part of the city. You will drive along the ceremonial avenues of Rajpath and view the splendid Presidential Palace, the circular Parliament House and impressive Diplomatic Enclave.

Your afternoon is at leisure. Relax by the poolside or indulge in shopping. This evening you have a date at BUKHARA featuring the cuisine from North-West frontier. Overnight at hotel.

Day 13 - DELHI / GOA
This morning a two and a half hours flight will take you to an emerald fleck on India’s western shore - GOA, a holiday makers paradise, sprawling hills, measendering rivers, lush green fields, miles and miles of virgin beach. Goa has it all. Check into The Fort Aguada Beach Resort tucked into the hillside by the sea. Rest of the day relax on the beach. Overnight at hotel.

Day 14-16 -- IN GOA
Full day at relax on the beach. Overnight at hotel.

Day 17 - GOA / BOMBAY
A 50 minute flight north of Goa takes you to Bombay.
Time free for independent activities. Overnight at the airport hotel Leela Kempinsky.

Day 18 - DEPART BOMBAY
Your experience comes to an end as you are transferred to the airport to catch your homeward bound flight.
